It's Always Nice When It's Not Just Entertainment

After finishing a set tonight, a woman I had performed for asked me about how I learned magic and whether I had benefited from learning it outside of the obvious uses.  She was curious because, as a social worker, she was dealing with a child who had closed himself off to the outside world and magic seemed to help him open up.  I talk a lot about how magic can and should be more than simply card-to-impossible-location, but this is an even better example than any I could come up with.
